Winemaking & Vineyards

At Clif Family we keep a keen eye on our vineyards, ensuring their health and sustainability through organic farming. We work hard in the vineyard to ensure minimal intervention in the winery. Our grapes arrive on the crush pad with the perfect flavors, ripeness, tannins and acidity. We harvest lots from each vineyard, differentiated by varietal, clone, harvest date, pressing techniques and barrel selection. From these building blocks, we blend our final wines with the goal of crafting wines that are delicious paired with food or enjoyed on their own.

Artisan Food

Clif Family crafts artisan foods for indulgent snacking, entertaining, gift giving or enjoying in your favorite recipes. Our Executive Chef John McConnell works with our winemaker and culinary team to develop recipes that pair perfectly with our wines. Experience our Savory Nut Mixes, Chocolates, Fruit Preserves, Hot Sauces and Extra Virgin Olive Oil at our Tasting Room and Bruschetteria Food Truck. Organic Farming

We farm 90 acres of CCOF and Napa Green certified vineyards in the Napa Valley and 5 acres of vegetable gardens, fruit trees and olives. Our vegetable gardens and orchards consist of more than 70 crops that include fruit, citrus, olives, blueberries, peppers, tomatoes, beans, corn, lettuces and more.

Each week, our team harvests the many crops we grow on the farm and delivers them to our Executive Chef John McConnell who in turn creates delicious and seasonal dishes for our Food Truck and Wine Tasting Menus.

We also grow fruit and vegetables for our preserves, hot sauces and extra virgin olive oil, capturing the flavors of Napa Valley at the peak of their seasonal flavor.
