2022 The Climber Red Blend
Named for legendary Yosemite climber Ron Kauk and made in that spirit. Yes, that is Ron on the bottle! The Climber is a Bordeaux-style wine that is bold without taking itself too seriously. Warm and generous in the nose with juicy plum, sun-ripened black raspberry, and hints of cinnamon and woody cedar. A blend of 80% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot. Winemaker Laura Barrett gives each vintage a fresh spin, which is what makes the Climber worth revisiting year after year. Pairs well with Korean BBQ and stuffed peppers.
