2019 Erta Cabernet Sauvignon
Erta is named for a memorable mountain cycling climb in Italy, and the wine is just as specific: a single block, selected by Winemaker Laura Barrett from our Cold Springs Vineyard on Howell Mountain. A bouquet of luscious blueberries and blackberries intertwines with dark chocolate and a whisper of cedar that evolves in the glass. 100% clone 4 Cabernet Sauvignon aged in 100% new French oak. Only a few bottles produced, which is a reason to open a bottle rather than wait. Pairs with prime rib and a decadent cheese board, or aged cheddars and blue cheeses.
